L’Agence pour la Valorisation des Produits agricoles

The Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products (AVAP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization mainly composed of producers and taste enthusiasts.

As the AVPA states on their website: “The association’s objective is to contribute to enhancing the value of agricultural products and to recognize the excellence of some producers, too often forgotten in the midst of the requirements of mass marketing”.

AVPA is well aware of the importance of the concepts of “terroir” (the environmental conditions, especially soil and climate, in which crops are grown that give it its unique flavour and aroma) and geographical origins, which have demonstrated their validity for specific produces. The association also remains aware of both social equity and environmental protection, intertwined in sustainable development.

AVPA acquired an international reputation and organizes International contests covering various natural products (including olive oil, chocolate, coffee and tea). More than 1000 producers from around the world participate in AVPA contests every year.

The Novaro extra virgin “Mosto Oro”

The Novaro Mosto Oro was awarded “Gourmet” in Paris: The Novaro “Mosto Oro” is obtained exclusively from the olive cultivar Taggiasca. harvested manually and pressed in our Mill. Our milling process boasts: a water-cooled crusher, temperature controlled malaxing, a water-cooled decanter and a two-phase extraction.

Would you like to know more about our Oil Mill and the technology we have chosen?

The extra virgin olive oil “Mosto Oro” is the pride and joy of Novaro’s production: it represents one of the best examples of the high-quality levels that the Taggiasca olive can reach: it can be purchased in specialized shops located in many European countries, in Canada, in the USA, in some Asian countries… It can also be bought online through our website

Unfortunately, it is produced in limited quantities and in most years the production is not sufficient to cover all the requests and so the “Mosto Oro” is used up before reaching the next harvest. This year the “Mosto Oro” produced last autumn will end more or less in mid-summer.
